♻️ Landfill Biogas Plants – Energy from Waste!

Landfill biogas plants are a special type of installation that uses biomass from waste landfills to produce biogas. Thanks to these plants, biodegradable waste can be efficiently utilized for energy production, contributing to environmental protection 🌍 and sustainable energy generation ⚡.

💡 What should investors know before starting a project?Anyone planning to build a landfill biogas plant should remember that:

✅ A construction and investment process for a landfill site must be carried out 🏗️.

✅ According to the Regulation of the Minister of the Environment (April 30, 2013), every landfill containing biodegradable waste must have a system for collecting landfill gas 🔄.

✅ Landfill gas should be purified and used for energy production, and if this is not possible – it must be burned 🔥.

✅ This approach reduces fire and explosion hazards and limits local air pollution 🌱.

🛠 Biogas Plant as Part of the Landfill.

Landfill biogas plants are usually an integral part of the landfill site and are covered by a common building permit. Therefore, when applying for a landfill construction permit, it is necessary to include information on the method of collecting, purifying, utilizing, or neutralizing landfill gas in accordance with Article 127(4)(8) of the Waste Act 📄.

📌 Summary

Landfill biogas plants are modern and environmentally friendly solutions that enable energy recovery from waste and help reduce harmful gas emissions. For investors, they represent not only a step toward sustainable development but also a way to efficiently manage landfills 💚.
